Even though there’s an option to enable smileys in your post, the smiley function for the board doesn’t seem to be enabled. *insert shrugging emoticon here*
Turning smiley’s back off. There are popping up in places on the Big List where there is unusual punctuation (e.g., “) creates a winking smiley when what we really want is the quotation mark followed by the parenthesis.)
There’s no way to disable smileys for a single post or portion of the site. It’s all or nothing, so I’m opting for nothing.
With an open-ended question like that, we’ll be here all night.
I’ll wager it’s a long list, and while I’m not vain enough to think “Dr. Techie” is near the top, I suspect it’s underlined at least once. Maybe an exclamation mark or two.
