Did we decide that it is a board bug that prevents us from linking to Wikipedia articles with URLs ending in a right paren?  I ask because June Casagrande of Conjugate Visits has successfully linked to such an article here.

It’s not technically a “bug,” (it’s a feature), but it is peculiar to the board. Parentheses in URLs are legitimate according to the HTML standard. The Expression Engine software that I use to run the site and the board, however, disallows parentheses in URLs because parentheses are also used in scripting and by disallowing them they hope to help prevent malicious scripts from running.

They really shouldn’t do that, but they do. AFAIK, there is nothing I can do about it.
