I am trying to do a directed intro to etymology study and I need a good textbook or two to work through.  Anyone have any good suggestions?  Cheap is a plus.  I have very little time to put this together.

3. Eve E Sweetser. 1990. From Etymology to Pragmatics: Metaphorical and Cultural Aspects of Semantic Structure.

There is also Philip Durkin’s, Oxford Guide to Etymology, OUP, 2009.
