Strange.  When you google “little green boxes” and wordorigins you get this thread, which also refers to a “little green boxes” thread… but where is it?  I too am curious about when the fourth box will appear.

I think I created that thread in a former persona.  When Dave erased that persona, it may have erased threads that that persona created.  Anyway, Dave knows the answer.  And, as I remember, he can set it to happen whenever he cares to.

But first he has to ...

One box = zero posts
Two boxes = 30 posts
Three boxes = 100 posts
Four boxes = 500 posts
Five boxes = 2500 posts

I can adjust these to whatever settings are desired. If there’s a groundswell of opinion to make it easier to get to four boxes, I can make it so.

As to the time (my posts coming from somewhere in mid-Pacific), I forgot to check the Daylight Savings box on my personal preferences. It should be fixed now.
