Seems as though the forum has been the target for a form of spam in which a segment of text from within a thread is included in a new post, followed by a link to the shilled site.

Yeah, but it’s still pretty easy to spot and delete. There are some pretty sophisticated spam mechanisms out there, but these aren’t it. Off the top of my head I can think of half a dozen ways to post spam that would make life very hard for me, but I ain’t going to say what they are. (Chances are no spammers are listening--they’re all bots--but you never know.)
