Hello, all!

Allow me to get to the point:

In as much as my extremely limited research has heretofore revealed…

the words “orange” and “orangutan” and etymologically unrelated, and it’s just a coincidence that orangutans are orange.

Anyone have any evidence to the contrary?

Thanks…

- Emily

PS - fantastic site!

No, you’re quite right, it is a complete coincidence.

Note that, like the “sundae” thread, this is a 3-year old thread that was brought to the front because a spammer added an irrelevant post to it.

Hmm, just as well they did. Emily must have been getting pretty impatient.
