I’m sure many of you will be saddened, as I was, to learn that Ray Bradbury died yesterday.

Well, everyone will die. Not many of us will die having entertained as many people as he did. Cheers, RB.

Well said, OP. And he will go on entertaining - I recently introduced my 19-year-old daughter to Fahrenheit 451; it immediately became one of her favourite books and spurred an interest in exploring classic SF. (However, she doesn’t like Truffaut’s film which I rather enjoyed.)

I’ll miss having Ray Bradbury around.

I still remember the joy of anticipation while carrying my copy of “The Martian Chronicles” to the school library to read instead of going to the lunchroom to eat.
