This line from the review irritated me:
All Crystal’s explanations make sense, and are highly entertaining to read, but as they accumulate they are likely to leave readers feeling that they are no closer to the key to improving their own spelling.
Good lord, is that all readers are expected to care about? “All well and good, but how can I use this information in my daily life?” Bah.
