Are there any other examples of a soft-c becoming a k by abbreviation? (Apart from its younger cousin, trike)

Any insights about this formation?

Not sure if it counts, but there’s Soccer from Association football.

Bicycle and Tricycle both have hard C’s so why wouldn’t the K sound come from that?

Well, fair point but the C after the I is soft.

Yeah, soccer counts.
