Thanks, Dave, and kudos to Trinity College. A couple of years ago I visited Ireland, and was able fulfill two long-standing ambitions: to pay my respects to the Book of Kells, and to visit Jameson’s distillery. Anyone who has seen that incredible Book, knows that when Petrarch described that period in history as “The Dark Ages”, he was talking through his hat.
