In case anyone was wondering, here in College Station we’re well out of the danger area. We’re just having lots and lots of rain. There’s localized flooding, but nothing too serious. But Texas A&M has cancelled the first two days of classes (I think mainly because so many students are coming from Houston and the Gulf Coast, and they shouldn’t be on the roads down there).

Well, I don’t care how you’re doing, just make sure that Lila is OK. :-)

Here on the bay on the eastern edge of Harris County(Houston’s county) my neighborhood is high and dry, but my prayers go out to those who have been flooded and the many more who will spend another restless night wondering if they will be flooded.

My SO’s parents are here with us after evacuating Rockport, TX which was ground zero for Harvey. As soon as the roads are passable we will drive down to see if their house was left standing.

We see these heart-breaking pictures on the news in the UK and our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who’s been caught up in such a disaster.
