Amazon and 1984

I can’t think of a better textbook example of “irony” than this story, in which Amazon has deleted copies of Orwell’s 1984 from user’s Kindle e-book readers.

The merits of the lawsuits aside, it’s becoming clearer and clearer that not only copyright laws, but the very concept of copyright itself, needs to be reinvented for the digital age.
